When I first read the title I thought this was referring to how (most) games depict night. Nights just never feel dark enough. Especially in the mmorpg genre. Night is just a purple tinted daytime in just about every mmo I've played, and I've played a lot.

Oddly enough, even though I am far from great, I am passable at the Soul Calibur series. They are the only series of fighting games I have ever been decent at, and consequently the only one I have ever taken a liking to.
It's probably because I am horrid at them, but even as a teen in the 90s I couldn't get into Street Fighter games. I can definitely appreciate the skill involved though. The reflexes and memorization of those games makes games like CoD and BF look like kid's stuff.
