I think not actually. Remember- we’re talking about an N55, not N54. Heavily updated, single turbo motor. Considerably more reliable than it’s predecessor.

American here who has driven a B9 A4 Avant TDI with a manual- put about 750 miles on it. Can confirm that is a great trans and worth checking out. Not sure if the trans differs between the 2.0 TDI and TFSI, but the shifts are smooth and still retains a fairly mechanical feel.

Even as a long time E320 wagon owner and general E Wagon fan, I truly think the rear of this car looks terrible. Chrome trim over the skinny long taillights looks like a squinty-eyed unibrow, and the rear overhang seems enormous.

This film made in early 90's Britain explains a lot of the type of label culture that people still live in. The psychology dates back to the feudal days, it blows my mind how self-conscious people are about their image.

I’ll take mine with no carpet, a diesel engine with manual trans, no power options, vinyl seats, no fancy infotainment tech... and hell, even removable doors and top. And don’t forget the big beefy mud tires and a winch.
