I really like the RS models for the same reason you don't. Most people wouldn't know the difference between this and an A4, while the ones that do know will be giving you thumbs up on your commute everyday.

The A5 is a coupe, has the 2.0t and a manual available, priced not much different than the A4.

All B5 RS4s were avant only, as they should be. Some guys have built RS4 sedans, but none came from the factory that way.

There are I believe 2 legit B5 RS4s here in CO, one black and the other Nogaro and they may even be owned by the same dude. I know about the S4 avant, I own one. Theres just so much more going with the RS4. I'd go full OEM widebody on my car but cost is pretty prohibitive, like 12k for parts.

That one is actually an S4, just had some widebody cosmetic surgery. It used to live here in Colorado until it was sold to the new owner in Cali. An Audi calls them avants, but yes, wagons/estates/avants/touring FTW.

Yes it did. The lenses directly under the low beam projectors have fogs in them. VW GTis of the same era have a similar set up.

V12 TDi. The R8 isn't even the most expensive nor the fastest Audi available. The C6 RS6 with it's twin turbo V10 is wagon only and fast as all hell. Remember the same 4.2 V8 in the first gen R8 is the same one that came in the B7 RS4. I'd take the RS4 all day.

And the stock exhaust sounds amazing. I'd love a B8 S, but alas, no avant available. That kills it a little for me.

We didn't get the avants here. The only RS4 sold here was the 07-08 sedan with the 4.2 V8, same motor as the first gen R8. The B5 was avant only and sold in the early 2000s, we got the S4 of the same years but never the RS. There's some aesthetic differences but they are the same otherwise. This new RS4 avant will…

i would love it if they ever went back to a twin turbo V6. Never should have abandoned it in my opinion.
