Similar idea with diesel trucks from before  a DEF tank was needed; when I was selling cars, used HD trucks from before DEF tanks wouldn’t last two days on the lot.

Yes, and also if there’s one thing we should be subsidizing it’s food. We’re gonna pay for it one way or another, and people really appreciate stable prices and a steady supply. It’s kind of important if we want to have a civilization.

To be fair to the farmers, that was only because Orangey McFuckface destroyed their crop export markets via his trade wars.

my sympathy for the farmers is decreased by the billions and billions of tax dollars they were gifted by the orange idiot.

This has caused an exploding secondary market for tractors that were made just before the electronics revolution. Those models have modern power and torque levels, so not much performance is lost. If they are in good shape, they sometimes go for near new prices.

Yep. FIL has nothing but JD tractors, and more. He’s had a few issues in the last couple years in resolving issues that were in software that crippled his tractors and stopped work. Waiting for a technician to come out is about as well organized as you can imagine. In two cases, the first person that showed up

Uhm, your mom? IIRC, the front end is like 3" longer for some apparent reason.

I think it’s an optical illusion created by the angle of the photograph and the wheel-well cladding. In reality, I don’t think it has any better or worse empty wheel-well space than any other SUV.

I’ve read that they may be better than the original seats, but that they still suck.  I have not sat in the Bolt, so I don’t know whether that is true or not.

This.

#2 #2 - Tesla Model S is adding ventilated seats for 2021, and the Taycan has them. I’ve wondered myself why so many EVs don’t have them, considering how much energy would be saved by using seat heating/cooling instead of the HVAC system.

I just want to say that they updated the seats in the Bolt in 2019 and it made the car actually drivable.

It GM, so the interior is going to look decent until it’s 1.34 years old, then it’s going to look dated and cheap.

It really does look quite dumb. Whats the diameter on those tires, like 24"? The stupid plastic cladding and extra body creases around the wheel wells just further accentuate the odd proportions. Typical Chevy styling.

I BADLY want to know: If the EUV is 6" longer than the basic Bolt, and only has 3" more rear legroom, and the exact same cargo capacity, where the F%^& did the other 3 inches go?  Into fancy bumper covers, or... what?

Interior quality. I wanted to like the 1st gen Bolt, but the plastic interior and crappy seats were a deal breaker. I’m also confused why the smaller Bolt has larger interior volume... is there more headroom or something?

I believe seats got better in 2020

why are the wheel wells so large but the wheels so small. looks like a monster truck before they bolt on the tractor tires

How are the seats?? Have they been improved from previous years?
