I never thought I’d see my hometown Scooby store on Jalopnik

Will someone please explain to me the concept behind 0% financing for up to 7 or 8 years. How does any dealer or manufacturer come out ahead on this? 

Tell that to my local Mitsubishi dealer. Thats what they told me when they refused to do warranty service on my Evo

#1 is totally true. I’ve shared the story here before about a certain Dodge dealer north of Houston who listed a car at $17,988 online, had a price of $18,900 in the window ($1K discount! Woopee! Right?) but then told me the price was $21,700 after I mentioned I was paying cash.

Still happens in Oregon, except the onion is now ironic, as is the fashion of the times.
