Our laws would be thousands of pages shorter if they weren’t still written in 1700s English.

I know it’s correct, but it just strikes me funny that the title says “When”.
Meanwhile, baggage fees all but disappear and airfare hits an all-time high...
It’s definitely an effort but working on a budget is certainly not about depriving oneself of fun or food.
Well, it functions like auto-stick in my S600. That’s good to know, and really stupid.
i love nitty gritty stuff like this
What's the reason behind getting an optioned-out car? Was ABC standard on the S-class? Any preference to the S430 vs S500? 4Matic or no?
I’d get the most optioned one I could and stay away from ABC suspension.
The plus and minus on the shifter aren’t a manual mode. They limit the range of gears. The car will still up and downshift within that range. The 03+ AMG models had a manual mode, in which the gear selected was held until redline.
What do you mean the 5G-tronic didn’t have manual mode? Yes, you probably can’t wire in those paddle shifters without the wiring harness, but you bet your ass that transmission has auto-stick. What do you think the plus and minus next to the D on the gear stick are for? You move it side to side when it’s in drive.
Hey shoot me an email (Andrew at Jalopnik) if you’re so inclined! I always want to know things haha.
Acura tech here. All that stuff is surprisingly commonplace. The o-ring, HFL, gas cap, Brembo pads? All par for the course. The dead giveaway for the HFL unit hanging up is to put your hand just in front of the map lamps in the overhead console. If it is warm or hot whilst the car is off, boo-yah.
As a previous Honda owner for many years in LA, Sun Valley is your best friend for those little things. Check out Blue Motors out that way. Very good sttock of nearly everything you could ever want and many things you didnt know you did.
If screwed on properly I’ve never heard of drain plug threads wearing over time, I think that is BS. Most likely a mechanic problem.
My buddy had the bluetooth module go bad in his TL, man what a PITA that was to figure out. Took him months of heartache and anger. He traced out every single circuit before finding it on the forums, glad it wasn’t my car(I would have started on the forums)
I have had the luxury of cold cut sandwiches made the day before the meeting and left in a paper sack. Delicious combinations like Roast Beef, Mayo and Cheddar, or Provolone, Turkey and Mustard, all icy cold with frozen/stale bread.
And so help you god if you’re the type of manager to hold a five hour meeting through lunch and only provide cold cut sandwiches made yesterday by the cafeteria. You come off as a right proper cheapskate, and your employees will NOT be engaged in the topic of discussion.
Absolutely! I am not attending anyone lunch meeting unless they are paying for the meal, and I mean a REAL meal not a $2.95 Jimmy john’s 3" box lunch.
I actually saw a BX in metro Detroit a long time ago, when I was in high school. I was working an off day at the garage as a pump jockey, and occasionally would see this car pull in for gas. Turned out it was owned by a couple who were here working for the German Consulate (had federal Diplomat plates) and had brought…
