So far mine hasn’t been bad, most maintenance parts seem readily available and working on it has been pretty easy, car has about 180k on it and I haven’t had any major issues in the six months I’ve owned it apart from fixing all the crap from some previous owner.

As air-cooled 911 values skyrocket

I bought this ‘84 in ‘86. Just sold it a couple of years ago. Great car.

How are 924's in terms of parts availability and difficulty to maintain?

More like discounted, day-old pie.

So all in all it was just a cheaper slice of that Porsche pie?

I love the 944— it’s one of the last affordable Porsches out there, and it will likely remain affordable due to the fact that they were made in great numbers. The turbos have already gone up in price, but the naturally-aspirated ones are still cheap.

What about that other downmarket VW/Porsche collaboration?

JAKE!

I enjoyed reading this, but disagree with your thesis.

Who cares what people do with the piles of plastic and metal and rubber they decided to turn their money into?

That would be really inconvenient. Would you always have to use the backup camera, or is there another one on the front? How would you point anywhere but straight ahead?

I feel like I’ve had to use that saying a lot more recently than I used to.

Don’t light a match near your dog. Lithium is flammable. That is why laptop mats have foam under them. It is to keep the batteries from buring the user’s lap.

Tell you what, Ballabawhatever — if you want to sit here and tell me nonsense, that’s on you, but I know better. Ever since I got my Tesla, my dog has been acting really weird. The kinds of lithium used in the batteries has not been tested thoroughly enough around pets. You can’t deny that. Seriously. They’re not

it’s now the only thing I think when I see that big screen and hear about self driving cars
