Anyone else notice they used at least 2 different vehicles in this vid? The wheels kept changing colors. Just saying.

They could probably get a better time if they could only find someone with experience driving some ridiculously huge contraption around the ‘Ring. Unfortunately I doubt that experience exists, and if it did you probably couldn’t find the person very easily.

I hope they where not testing an anti-bodyroll technology, becauset if that’s the case, it failed!

I’ve said it before, but James May and Adam Savage should do a science and tech show together.

What I thought would happen in that last .gif:

Graduate of the Royal College of Music plays musical instrument SHOCKER!

I was, Mr. Bono. Now take your sunglasses off, they're creeping everyone out.

" if you were in the goddamn poor house because Ronald Reagan, or something..."

Thank you. This is the first FP post on Yugo I've seen since visiting Jalopnik daily. Yugo is just awesome. I love that there was a time when anyone who wasn't homeless could afford a slightly used car. It may have sucked, but it was a car! And it brought a major Eastern European product to the states during a time

"When you see one, it's more funny than anything else."

I think that's still an awful lot. It must have been exceptionally a lot of money in the Eastern Bloc back in the day.

whats cheaper than a yugo???
A nano of course!!

It's the same size as a Blue Whale's testicle which is a bit more interesting than its price.

Did you know the Yugo was Holy Crap levels of crap? Even for the day.

I test drove a Yugo fresh off the delivery truck back in the day...

Yeah and I was persuaded to buy one my a friend. Luck for me I had a car accident it it was written off. It had the most amazing breaks but you were always aware of the fact that you were driving a tin can.

I tried calling 1-800-USA-YUGO. "You have dialed a number that is not available from your calling area." Damn. I wanted a fourth car.

I remember a Cadillac dealer in metro Detroit, Don Massey, was advertising "Buy any Cadillac and get a Yugo free!". Of course Cadillac sucked so bad at the time the Yugo may have been the only car left running, but that's a different story.

Introducing, new for 1987 from Yugo...

Today, in the UK, you can buy the Dacia Sandero for £5995. That's $9815, in USian currency. While not as cheap as the Yugo, it's pretty cheap, but unlike the Yugo, it's actually a pretty nice car. Sure, it has no standard features, but as a car, it works very well.
