I’m not sure how an engine fire could choke itself out. Last time I checked, the bottom of the engine bay is exposed. It may be that the fire ran out of fuel, but it did not run out of air.
How do you hand wash the undercarriage?

I once (circa 1987) drove a ‘66 Mustang through a creek on a back country dirt road. I was following other high school classmates in an unfamiliar area at the time. This was also when I discovered I had giant holes in my floorpans.

I watched Smokey and the Bandit last week. There were more than a few times that there was a swap in the make/model of a police car in one scene. Same paint scheme, so most people won’t notice.
We did something like that in a tournament. We needed the game to end quickly due to darkness. I think we actually had the batters step on the plate during their swing; so it only took one pitch instead of three to get an out.
Yeah - I think we had something like that. A $50 buy-out was well worth not having to sell wrapping paper or fancy chocolate to the extended family. I was never so happy to write the school a check.
