I need better friends.

Maybe next time, run some tubing around the tub as a heat exchanger, so you don’t mix engine coolant with the hot tub? A simple thermostat and or inline valve would have solved the temp issue. Otherwise, I’m diggin that thing. Those wheels are the shiz, they look like truck rims, but boy if they don’t look sweet on th…
200 MPH on FULL SELF DRIVING while I sleep off a hangover, BRO
$55k is not a ton less than the $59k an M2 competition costs either. That car makes more power than the Supra, is more practical and can be had with a stick.
I don’t even like Uber or self-driving cars, but that take is fucking lunacy.
For real
A Morning Shift finally hit 5/5 wrong takes, congrats all around!
Anecdotally, the reason for the low take rate is twofold.
I like Patrick and Stef's writing. Not sure what they have to do with the article title.
Piff. I’ve bought a new car every other year for the past 12 years, and every one of them has been a stick. And I would buy MORE if more cars were available that way. I would certainly have had, at a minimum, an Alfa Giulia, possibly an Alfa 4c, and definitely an f31 BMW wagon, if I could have had them as sticks.
This is going to shock you, but I don’t like small turbo engines or automatic transmissions either, for much the reason you describe.
That’s great, but then you’re stuck with a soulless appliance. Fast? Sure, but that’s about it.
I guess I’m curious why I should take anything you have to say seriously then.
Dead fucking wrong of course, but why bother knowing anything when you can just assume?
I don’t know if you’ve ever driven a really fast Tesla, but I assure you it’s not as exciting as it sounds. The lack of engine noise and gear shifting means it’s just one continuous shove in the back...kind of like being in an airplane taking off. That’s fine and a good way to show off to people, but it gets quite…
Neutral:
“If your modern car detects you going over 120 mph around other living people in a public area, it should spontaneously combust inside.”
I had to drive fast in order to social distance myself from other drivers
Counter Point:
My average commute is slowed by someone going way below the speed limit causing people hit the brakes hard.. I’ve witnessed at least 3 accidents this year due to drivers swerving around under limit drivers on highways..
Scared drivers= zero survivors
I’m missing the part where the author cites the studies that PROVE that speed has zero correlation to do with fatalities...
