The 512 Modulo is not a wedge. It’s an airfoil. Too much taper in the rear profile. The back of the car should be the highest point.

My ‘72 Mercury Marquis 2dr hardtop had seats similar, but they were sorta buckets than a true bench, had fold down armrests in the center

I blame the Germans and their “corrective” ergonomics: Ze seats aren’t uncomfortable, it is you who are poorly designed.  If French cars created the modern car paradigm, we would all be a lot more comfortable - and of course, more interesting and well informed people.

I really wish car seats were still so plush and comfortable. Somehow we went down the incorrect path and my butt regrets the decisions that were made 😆
