Because this country has been inundated with sports fandom psychologically for so long that it bled to all facets of life. If someone on an opposing team gets hurt and is carted off the field on a stretcher, the fans cheer.

I’m always amazed by the binary thought process that seems prevalent today - If you’re “this”, you cannot be “that”.

Surely you’d be happy with a Focus ST?

I don’t get the SUV hate.

  1. In 2008, the SUV dominance helped fuel the recession. Gas prices spiked, SUV sales plummeted leaving a ton of backlog on the dealership lots. Many people tried to sell their SUVs for more efficient cars, but because the value of their vehicle dropped so suddenly, they either had to eat the cost of the loan or eat the

Having driven I-80 after the storm in Nebraska this week I’ll say just about every SUV that slides of the road ends up rolling at least once.

Is it because you think a lot of the market segment looks similar?

Thanks! Here’s what it looks like currently:

Wow people have some pretty lofty goals in here. In the last year or so I’ve sold my Bronco, Mustang, and old 4Runner.. and I bought my wife a nice car. I’m driving another 4Runner but I miss having a fun car. My simple goal is to get myself a fun car this year.

I’m going to get my 1989 Sterling 827 SLi restored. New paint, new interior, fix the Lucas BS. I already plan on taking to six hours to Atlanta and back come February.

The 4-cylinder Dyson vacuum-powered 718 Boxster/Cayman should be on here. Otherwise this is an excellent list.

It must be well past due for an entire front suspension refresh. They’re maintenance intensive, but not the worst DIY Euro platforms out there. I don’t know if I’d be all that into futzing with a very high-mileage AWD P2, though. (Or is this completely P3?)

Ford flew a bunch of journalists, including me, out to LA to check out the new 2020 Ford Mustang Mach-E that was making its world debut.

He will miss the Skyline of Toyko.

I’m 26 and I lease a Giulia in NYC. I wouldn’t own this car beyond 2-3 years unless it was a weekend driver Quadrifoglio. Do not buy one. I can see this thing becoming a pain in the ass as it ages.

*Finds a random, obviously neglected BMW*

While I’m sure brand recognition had some impact to its sales, the fact that almost every initial review had serious software issues was likely a bigger driver. If you’re reintroducing your vehicle to a major market, it needs to at least function for the reviews.

Any personal experience? I bet none...

Oddly enough the Fiat 130 lost to a PSA car -> Peugeot 504 Coupe.

That design was way ahead of its time in the 1960s.
