How much for the new Honda Element?
This is like a return to Jalopnik around 2006. Which is to say: well done. Awesome. Love everything about it.
Pour out a quart of 5W40 on your driveways in honor of the man who lead one of the greatest expansions in Automotive history. Without him we wouldn’t have the: V10 TDi, VR6, W8, W12, or W16.
So, basically the worst of everything. I’m supposed to believe that someone not in the car, probably hundreds, if not thousands, of miles from me is going to care about getting me safely to my destination more than watching porn or eating donuts? On top of having worse situational awareness, no direct analog inputs…
Nothing can stop it, except for VW delaying it until it loses all relevancy and diluting the style until it looks like any other mini-van.
Making minivans cool is the first step to getting people to buy them in droves again. The TJ Cruiser is definitely a step in that direction.

They’re not flimsy at all, and the parts are readily available since these cars are all over junkyards. The being said, a bottle of soda exploding is bad in any car, especially a modern car with computers everywhere. At least on an older car like mine, the electronics are simple enough that you can take them apart and…
The car pictured is from 1994 and every single thing inside it works. So while it’s not indestructible, it’s held up remarkably well. I’d like to see how these newer car interiors hold up after 25 years.
Looks underwhelming. People seem to like the more integrated screens but they’re a chore to actually live with. In this case, it means lots of long screens with limited vertical height. For going through lists of items like music or destinations, it means more scrolling. For navigation, it means you see less of the…
