Well written and best article I’ve read in a while. Now if the snow and salt would clear itself maybe I could go and drive my 2,700lbs Peugeot 405 Mi16 like a hooligan again.

Just shoot me now.

Says the guy who clearly never drove one. I don’t own one, but the 4C is hard to beat for smiles per mile. Raw numbers and specs don’t convey the actual driving experience.

1981 733i 5 speed with studded snows:

Oh. Yeah sub $4k budget just isn’t realistic for a nice one. I wish your friend the best of luck.

Location? I might be able to help.

It’s bigger brother makes me very happy.

La joie de la neige! Citroen XM on snows! Don’t worry, the CX does not see salt.

Just got my winter shoes and new front brakes put on.... ready for hoonage!

Thank you for adding a much needed dose of owner reality to this thread!

Car-part.com? Sure, maybe if I was looking for rear door trim on a 1987 Oldsmobile Calais....

You state this like it’s fact. So many ninny naysayers for an enthusiast site....

Wish I had more stars to give you. Perfectly stated.

There is truth in failed oil/water pump seals and cam variator failures. But this is not epidemic to all GCs.... it is a relatively low % of overall production.

Do you make this stuff up and hope that people don’t call you on your bullshit?
