@Smartchoy: I've heard of tinnitus sufferers complain about that - loud ringing followed by the hearing loss. When it happens to me, though, it's different. It's more like someone just quickly turned down the volume on the world. There's no associated ringing, which is why I wondered if they were connected. Sound

@Emerald: No, not really. I figure it's mostly a consequence of being sick a lot as a kid, including getting frequent ear infections.

@Hisilarn: No, I figure it's because I was really sick as a kid. Lots of breathing problems, but I also had ear infections frequently. I don't know what caused it, but I've had hearing problems all my life, just on and off. I'll hear perfectly fine one day, next day I get the ringing or silence constantly.

I get that a lot, but not nearly as bad as some people have described it, which leads me to believe my case is rather minor. While it's irritating, since it doesn't happen all the time for me, it doesn't bother me overly much. What does bother me, is when I randomly lose hearing in one ear (usually my left, but it can

@Frosted Mini-Wheats: I am, but that's more because I can't afford to get it right now, anyway. I figure it's better to just save up some money and get the inevitable next version. That, or just buy the first gen one after all when it dramatically drops in price.

I didn't save money all throughout my childhood, but I did save up little bits at a time to buy whatever it was I wanted. Over half the games and game systems I got as a kid were bought by myself, just saving up allowance and birthday/Christmas money, plus whatever lawn mowing or babysitting jobs I could find.

@The MSJ: Exactly. They even both wear tights.

@ChrisPBacon: He only has a feather. Link proved that all that does is let you jump. Therefore, Peter Pan can't actually fly; he just jumps really well.

@MPLightning: I love the instant sound effects available online. I have a handful on my bookmarks toolbar, so they are accessible at a moment's notice.

I don't have a problem with this, other than the fact that I know a lot of people who buy these cards as gifts. It seems unlikely that a parent or grandparent is going to know the Gamertag and password of the kids they are buying stuff for. So long as the process still worked the old way in addition to this new way, I

@Lovick: Same here. I got past one part that really pissed me off, and just ended up quitting after that. I keep meaning to go back and finish it, but haven't done so yet.

Super Nintendo? Sweet, I can dig that.

I don't think I would have ever figured out it was THQ if it wasn't pointed out to me. That seems like a pretty big strike against it right there; if your brand isn't identifiable, it's basically useless.

@dartingd: I have about 80 hours logged in the game, and I have not seen a single game-crashing bug. There were several that were annoying, but the game was still well worth the purchase.

@shouryuuken: I would definitely look into the indie games crowd, and follow some of the major gaming companies by scouting out the DigiPen graduates. Some of the best and most innovative ideas I've seen in the past several years were from those two areas.

That almost doesn't look real. It's like someone jumped into one of the model homes in every advertisement and brought his nerdy stuff with him. Did this guy get an interior decorator to design his place?

@Bosker: Kinda like combining these two tragic events into one?

The DMCA is such a load of bullshit. They went and created a god mode cheat, and then use it against anyone else that tries to cheat. I am offended and vaguely confused by my own analogy, because I didn't get enough sleep.

Can't forget this classic.
