1988 Subaru GL Wagon, 5 speed nonetheless. All the most important stuff already done. Looked at it myself. Would buy in a heartbeat if I could figure out parking situation (thank you gov't for taking away our extra on the street parking!). Not $1,000, but cash would walk away with it.

Figured for that price, something exotic would be shuffed under the hood. Low and behold, it's still the small 4-cylinder with less horsepower than my FZ6 Yamaha.

1) If you're rich...you don't live in Cairo.

FJR apparently does not make a good single-track candidate. Crap.

Bultaco, FTW. (yeah, I know, motorcycle, but still awesome).

Put Loeb in a group B car. Then, we find out who the best really is.

Looks like an electrical disaster under the hood. Exposed wires, crossed wires, and cheap connectors. No tank you!

Documentation is everything. Unless it has an extensive list of maintenance and why it has a salvage title to begin with, then forget it. Otherwise, maybe not a bad price, but for a few more benjamins, could find one that is a correct inside and out.

I ride a 1971 Yamaha RT1-360 to work, just about everyday. It's a two stroke; it smells, vibrates, and makes entirely too much noise. Generally a b-i-t-c-h to start as well. But, it's fun, and always makes my day. Driving one of these would give me that same rush that seems to be lacking in my job at times.
