I’m just speaking from experience using n64 emulators on Android, but they’re pretty damn good. Some texture and specific game loading issues aside, I was impressed.

There’s the EA we know and love.
Besides the flooding part of Act 2, that was the one zone I memorized the quickest paths to!
I had a similar difficulty getting into BotW initially for those reasons, but peeling back the games layers, small touches and the value (and risk/reward) of exploration has made it stupidly addicting for me. My ‘aha’ moment came from using an amiibo to spawn a metal chest next to an explosive barrel at a bokoblin…
It’s hard to re-frame your mindset after playing BoTW. Those two games are really apples-to-oranges, but tastes are so different. I had a friend trade in BoTW after failing to get into it after playing through Horizon. To each their own.
Couldn’t agree more. Still my favorite 3d Zelda, but not a great way to showcase your new system. At least patching will remedy some of this.
My scratch-and-sniff cards still hold their magic 22 years later.
Reading this even makes Gamestop seem like a decent place to work comparatively.
Oh man, missed opportunity for sure...
That animation is...
Unfortunate thing is Japanese folks tend to be smaller/have smaller hands which might impact the design choices. If I remember correctly, the original xbox had the S model controllers created for those with smaller hands. Maybe we’ll get a Switch XL someday...
Was that an issue when using the Mew glitch to try and upload to the recent Bank/Transporter update?
Working at Gamestop, everyone, including most staff thought it was an add-on for the Wii...
Agreed. I think I personally need to be in the mood for it. First world problem for this guy...
I respect the hell out of the timer, but I might be one in the minority who doesn’t always enjoy it. That level of pressure takes away from my fundamental need to explore every nook and cranny, and maybe that’s a side effect of playing so many collect-a-thons in the late 90's...
Don’t forget the Gameboy and DS lines. OG DS is still the #2 top selling system of all time if I’m not mistaken.
And that is what makes them exciting, for better or worse.
I thought the exact same thing. Let it go buddy...
If. He. Shoots. You. It’s. Gon-na. Hurt.
This one especially. I felt burned at launch, stopped playing after a few weeks, picked up the complete version this holiday, and was much more pleased. That initial launch could have been so much better and retained more long-term players if it had been more complete or half the cost.
