Do I believe they would go Android? Absolutely not. What I’m saying nothing has been revealed to say it’s not (yet). With Nintendo’s love of other mobile devices now and the partnership of Nvidia, who knows? Again, I would certainly hope not.

Totally agree with you. We are still under the assumption that Switch operates off of a heavily modified android platform. The threat of piracy in that regard is astronomical.

Wonder if they’ll add it to the rumored Switch version. Sun and Moon were great, but not a ton of post-game content, no bank support yet, and no national dex (yet?).

Should be interesting to see if Switch bites into the mobile market a bit and/or if Nintendo is already working on another dedicated handheld. I remember at the launch of the original DS; Nintendo wanted it to be their “3rd pillar” of gaming with the Gameboy line still existing alongside it, so who knows.

I was convinced we’d be getting a Pokemon Z after the Zygarde 100% reveal thing. Who knows? The ol’ 3ds still has a couple years in the tank (I hope).

Gamestop has been in their buying phase the last few weeks, where trade values have increased (with the exception of systems it seems) as they want to stock up for the holiday. You could see if the trade bonuses for specific games would stack, and then just cancel your pre-order and put the credit toward the pro.

No way. This baby has been in development since at least late 2012, or whenever Nintendo combined their hardware divisions. For all of the teasing, rumors, whatever there has been for at least the last year and a half, I would be shocked if it missed the release window. If anything, they might just have a stronger 1st…

Now that you mention it, Pokemon R/B might be the 2nd most deconstructed title I’ve ever seen. I remember watching a 151 glitched speedrun, and the guy doing it could predict the Pokemon he would catch down the amount of steps he would take in a particular area. The persistence of fan communities opening these games…
