Yeah it certainly felt light compared to other RTS titles, but still better than I had anticipated.

Gotta give credit to the original Halo Wars devs, as they definitely made the game work quite well on 360. I kinda hope MS puts out a keyboard and mouse special edition for this one (to be used on both platforms).
I’m giving Nintendo the benefit of the doubt until they actually launch their mobile initiative. They’ve done “free-to-start” (I love that term better) pretty damn well on 3DS, and I don’t see them soiling their core franchises (but not necessarily core IPs) with that bullshit.
Ugh I know right? I’m thinking of selling my CIB minty-fresh copy since I’m not going to pay it much mind with this collection in hand. Maybe we’ll get lucky, and price won’t get impacted much. Heck, a CIB copy of Super Mario 1, Chrono Trigger, and Earthbound still go for mucho-bucks despite re-releases.
The model works for certain, I imagine folks just expect better out of Rovio. Or they’ll just hold off until we get a console release that requires none of this nonsense.
I see this going one of two ways:
Definitely gonna try it later.
Love the style, but I think it would be tough to keep this engaging as a fleshed-out experience.
I honestly believe Canadians may be the only developed people to make it out of humanity destroying itself.
The US is just as curious about Nintendo release dates as the rest of us.
I still find it odd that they entertain spinoffs more than the main series (in the US) usually. It took until DS for us to get 5 and 6, and that was after 8 was out.
I’m with you on that one. Picked up the PS one version of 7 back in the day and cannot wait to get back to it. I would consider buying DQ Heroes simply because Hyrule Warriors was more fun than I thought it would be, and if it supports the potential for us to get 7, 8, and 11 over here, I’d be happy to.
Stay optimistic. We really only missed out on an MMO (which honestly wouldn’t have had the same audience as some of Square’s other, more popular MMO’s), and the remake of 7 so far. Yugi Hori already mentioned wanting to bring 7 and 8 to the west, and I don’t see why that wouldn’t be for 11 as well.
Do it. DO IT.
This is more the thing I could see Game freak putting out on mobile since we know they’ve released some crap already. I’m holding my judgment for Nintendo until we actually see what they have to offer.
Kinda-sorta related. I actually like Luigi more now that they’ve established him as the cowardly bumbling idiot. He not only has those character flaws, but he can STILL get the job done despite that. If that isn’t the mark of a compelling hero, I don’t know what is.
As a very part-time gamestop employee for a number of years, pre-ordering has screwed more people over time, and yet the practice is bigger than ever. Sad times.
Already looks pretty dang polished from E3. Cannot wait.
They should just go straight to plaid...
If any titles would deserve it, I think Smash and MK8 (as it has been rumored to have more DLC in the pipeline) would be the way to go. Only issue I see, is that they haven’t mentioned an “end date” for DLC for either title, like most other companies do with their season passes and map-packs.
