YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS DO IT
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS DO IT
Hey now, Amiibo will only get less useless over time (as characters unlock more content in more games). I will admit however, that I totally have the Amiibo sickness. I figured I’d pick up maybe 10 of them, and have 27 now. To be fair I do work at Gamestop, so getting access to them + discount is a huge draw.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they existed in the other systems game code, but certainly not playable without hacking I would imagine.
Don’t use it, but I love the artwork some folks churn out.
I just see Amiibo as the DLC gift that keeps giving (depending on ‘character x time = added game value’ ). I think their content should be accessible through more difficult means (game modes) if folks aren’t able to buy them however.
Never played it since I tend to avoid movie-based tie-ins, but I’ve heard some decent things about it in the past.
Keep in mind though that they are the “triforce heroes”, and are colored to match the 3 goddesses the triforce represents. The 2 player option is a total bummer tho...
I’d like something gritty, but it would be cool to have a golden age style where he is indeed weaker. Maybe lighten the tone to fit the character, but still give it a good story.
I only imagine that programming an AI, or giving one character control over the doll vs the other player would result in some pacing issues. I think FS worked better since you had an even number of characters at your disposal. Who knows? I’ll be buying the crap out of this day 1 anyway.
Or start him off as a kid, and give him latent powers over time so you can get the attachment to his character. I think the same reasons he’s not as compelling to me as a comic character would similarly transition in a game (sadly). I’m not saying I wouldn’t want the chance to fly around all-powerful in another…
Really too bad about no 2-player. I only know one other interested person, and the other four-swords type games were much better with others.
Superman is one tough hero to make a good game for I imagine (if that’s what Rocksteady is hinting at). They either have to weaken him like they have lately in comics, or bring a threat big enough to actually test his mettle.
I’d like to know if they do. Nintendo doesn’t price their add ons like this without solid value behind it.
That’s what I figured. Nintendo has handled themselves pretty dang well with add-on and DLC on their systems
Nintendo had handled the process of DLC and Free-to-start pretty damn well the last year and a half, which makes this whole app surprising IMO. I didn’t think Nintendo wholly owned the Pokemon Company, so maybe they were the ones to set costs?
Is this a Nintendo, or a Pokemon Company thing? I thought licensing when it came to stuff like this (non-game merch and shows/movies) had less to do with Nintendo.
I think the cost is what really set this edition apart. I could’ve seen them charging $150 easy for this one. $120 is definitely a sweet spot (and I’m super bias as I also work Gamestop, so there’s always the discount factor).
Appreciate the heads-up. Good luck folks.
Exactly. I think Mortal Kombat might have been the first with simultaneous release if I’m not mistaken (and having the same content besides blood of course).
Dat Super Mario Maker tho
