Having played it, I would say it’s much nicer than a bog-standard AAA title.  Of course with Kotaku reporting, they’ll almost certainly downplay anything great that a game like this actually does.

I’m shocked that Kotaku has even touched the game.  Given their stance on things like this, you’d think they would be calling for the game to be banned and burned.  

Alternate headline that you could just copy and paste for many games at this point: Smash Bros Clone Fizzles Into Obscurity. I think there’s a Nickelodeon game that could use that headline now too.

Let me guess, Kotaku isn’t even reviewing Hogwarts Legacy out of principle. Yeah, you show the many people whose livelihood depends on the game doing well and have nothing to do with the things Rowling has said, just because she gets a cut of all the sales. Joan Rivers would be groaning for having to cover the Gaming Awards no matter how well dressed everyone is.  And that’s the point, it’s a different world from the Oscars, and we should be encouraging these people to be themselves, not forcing them to wear something that doesn’t even represent who they truly are.
