I have the standard PS4. Not the slim one the original model and it runs psvr perfectly. There are a few very minor texture differences but they are so minor that you need to see side by side footage and have it posted out in order to even see it.

The gear VR is only a sample of what real VR is. Aside from the fact that it only tracks 360 degree of movement no forward back up down and has no spatial tracking hand controls, the graphical Fidelity is lacking and I guarantee you will get motion sick from the lower frame rates.
