Some of my favorites: Unread, One Click, Love Janessa, Stolen Hearts, all of the 'Dr. Death' series, The Girlfriends, The Pit, Dear Alana, Violation, and Betrayal.

Hot take.

You should see the “sexy Bea Arthur” he pitched in Slack

That image may be the most evil thing this week. Perhaps it could only be worse if Betsy was dressed in flag fabric.

Thank you so much for posting this! A World Cup from India is going to be loud, raucous, and fun. Cricket is a religion there. A couple things, “innings” is always plural in cricket, never singular. Also, India and Pakistan are the big rivals, not England and Pakistan. The nuclear thing and Kashmir has a lot to do

FWIW, I find posts like this FAR more useful and enjoyable than the normal monthly round-ups of comings and goings. A little more detail on streaming shows/movies potentially worth watching is a lot nicer than a description-less list of dates and titles, most of which are probably pretty poor, with very little to call

Kids in the Hall was surprisingly good.
If you are curious, watch the first episode until they get to the stupid bank robbers. If you don’t think they have re-captured the magic, then I can’t help you.

This is fantastic. As a “Solo” defender, I hope Alden has some sort of role in at least a guest capacity.

Unless they nerf her harder than anyone has ever nerfed anything or they pull some “the powers were only temporary” retcon, I genuinely don’t know how giving a brand new character no one has any attachment or investment in the combined powers of every single MCU hero AND villain doesn’t become a problem immediately.

Wait until they bring back Chris Evans as Johnny Storm.....

You’ve clearly never used a Unix system /s

The only part that doesn’t hold up - and to be fair, was ridiculous at the time, even given the subject matter - is the hacking scene.

I thought about getting one, but decided to wait and see what improvements there would be with the next model. I hope the bezels get smaller, it’s usable screen looks so small for the size.

My first podcast was This American Life, but the podcasts that really got me hooked was Extra Hot Great, a TV-focused pop culture chat show hosted by the founders of the legendary Television Without Pity. It’s a great mix of no-holds-barred reviews of whatever is new and trending and a look into the past via a segment

Yeah, I almost worry about cleaning ours more than using it.

I see it the other way around--if you want a fun strategy game that gets you thinking about what words contain and how they’re constructed, Hard Mode takes a lot of that away from you. To each their own, though! Have you tried Antiwordle? It’s like a harder version of Hard Mode.

You’ve really never heard of Serial?

I think for me it’s the lack of daylight. I LOVE the seemingly endless summer days when it doesn’t get dark until almost 9. Probably I wouldn’t like it so much if I had small kids I was trying to put to bed, but it is what it is. There’s probably also some residual resentment from school starting back up, even though

It’s not quiet quitting, it’s finally realizing your job is 9 to 5. Your lunch break is an hour. Long before the pandemic I used to work 12 hour days and come in on weekends (thankfully I got overtime for doing so) but the stress from it was making me miserable. When the company was bought out and I was downsized, I
