Yes, they have a virtual safety car system to hold drivers to a speed limit under yellow when circumstances call for it.
This game with the Oculus Rift and a few glasses of wine will be god damn mind blowing !
As a 3D artist, I feel safe in saying that it’s probably an artistic decision. Distance fog hasn’t been a necessity since the PS2 days. We have proper LOD, mipmapping, and data streaming these days, among other more novel techniques. I get the impression that their graphics engine still has a decent amount of polish…
Did it need a complete redesign, truly?
That’s still better than any Sonic game that’s come out over the past few years.
A good track day is when you can experiment with your lines and let the track come to you. Fun day when you start out at 110 mph at the end of the straightaway and by the end of the day you are 125-130 at the same point based on how much better you negotiated the previous turn. This vid is like the opposite of that.
Group B cars (I know the Corvette and the Delta aren’t rally cars, but they both still answer the question) were ridiculously, ludicrously fast. Stig Blomqvist did a 0-60 run in the RS200 (not even the fastest one out there) in under 3 seconds short shifting to avoid destroying the gearbox. In 1985.
I only made it 2:30 into the first video before wanting to punch the driver of the camera car in the face. Boy does he get annoyed at the DUMBEST stuff... and this is from someone who gets really pissed at people who don’t use turn signals.
Also, this is the best channel on all of the YouTubes if you want to watch…
