Yep this. Really the only reason that the new turbo v6 power plants aren’t crushing the previous records is due to the strict new fuel flow restrictions. They’re nearly as fast even when restricted to half the fuel use..

I think literally all the problems NMS has right now could be solved by labelling it as ‘early access’ or something like that. Own the fact that it’s a starting point for better things to come in the following months and years. Players have already proven that they’re willing to pay for something that’s functional but…

I had a rough time getting it configured.. took three PC reboots to finally get there, but the game appears to be running OK and it looks better than the PS4 version (mainly due to the resolution, I’m guessing).

I think a smooth 60FPS+ re-imagination of the ultra-fast platformer would be an interesting start. I think there are a few interesting mechanics that could be worked in - possibly some light RPG elements and a combo system for movements that make you feel like a real badass when executed correctly.

yeah me as well.. I can imagine a not-too-distant future where a very clean, totally restored Ghia could easily get $25K. This seems like it’s only a few thousand away from being in that condition.. and, unlike more modern cars, restoring these old air-breathers isn’t as much of a chore.
