IMO it's a pretty bland car.. but If I had 4,000 to spend on a car and I needed it to just work - this is the one I'd take.. fewer than 100K miles and it's clean as a whistle.

Manual Tranny? Check

This story doesn't feel satisfying unless we get to hear the recorded call where the condescending dispatcher gets to explain to the drooling half-wit on the other end of the line that 911 is for emergencies only.

also, the video editor used shake reduction to the point of distortion

that would have been great.. a BART train across the san mateo bridge? yes please.

It's obviously sad to see something like this happen (if it does indeed come to pass).. But I could see a possibility of the staff simply creating their own thing and potentially making it much better than it had been under AOL.

yes, for sure.. though there is a bit more of an accepted methodology to things like 0-60 times, 1/4 mile times, slalom times and skidpad results.. still it's an imperfect science which is why you'll sometimes see a 0-60 time from Car & Driver differ slightly from one at Road & Track for the same car.

I'd say lap times are an interesting data point.. but there are so many factors to consider - most importantly the driver.. that it's really difficult to derive real meaning from it in terms of a standard performance benchmark.

Yep. Aside from the S2000 I really can't think of many factory cars that can do 100bhp/liter without any help.. and still very quick even going on 15 years later.

They were doing a test drive, and had to get it into 7th gear. That's why they had to get it to that speed...

So I've never played the original games and the last space sim I can remember playing was probably X-Wing.. but I'm really enjoying E:D. I liked it with a keyboard and mouse and its even better with a HOTAS (specifically the X52 Pro).

Hmmm.. While it may be possible to dismiss this woman as a nutter..

They are playing to an audience...

Mega Monté Carlo perhaps?

Honestly, if Nintendo released a nice, high quality bluetooth controller and a huge library of NES/SNES/N64 titles that would take advantage of it - I'd be in...

This thing is equal parts awesome and WTF 1970s weirdness.

The 1980's Yuppie would often out-German their typical BMW 325i-owning neighbor with an Audi 5000 like this.

That 240Z. Man... Memories.

Christmas Grindin'

Maybe, maybe not.
