Mileage is listed at 91,877 at the bottom of the craigslist ad.

I had a C63, same year as this actually.  Had to sell it when i got a job with BMW corporate.  Only time i teared up when i had to sell a machine.....i still miss that damn car.

Love the car, but you would have to be prepared for out of warranty Mercedes costs. 

Voted with my heart, well mostly. The price is in the right range, presented well, and doesn’t seem to have been abused. I know that fixing anything on this car would be a mortgage payment, but on the other hand I would be having fun in this thing.

To add to your list with the fuel, these things had monster fuel cells. I can’t find the stats on what they held, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was over 100 gallons total. Those Can-Am races didn’t require them to pit at all with the amount of fuel they carried.

Your feet as the crumple zones are the LEAST of your worries driving this thing. Other safety concerns that one should consider before driving a 917:
