VW already has the ID.4 in the US, which is in the very hot crossover/small-SUV portion of the market. They’re not going to bring e.g. the ID.3 over here, when they just killed the Golf in the US market. They might be able to sell larger EVs, e.g. an Atlas-sized EV, if they had one to sell. They’d also be smart, IMO,…

It’s not an excuse or justification for anything, but I do think it is worth pointing out that air travel, yes even on 737MAXes, is still safer than automobile travel, at least in the US.
