I gotta get out of these comments and seek Jesus. Or at least a blunt.

Sue the Daddy hat right off that bitch.

But the movie version seems to forget that he should be vulnerable to magic. There’s no way he should’ve been able to resist the Lasso of Hestia when WW used it on him at the memorial. That scene drives me nuts as a result.

Agreed. At the same time, there was easily an hour that could have been cut from the movie without hampering any of the character arcs. But it was light years beyond the 2017 trainwreck.

What I wouldn’t give to be a fly  ant on the wall every time an actor gets a phone call from their agent that they’re going to be in a comic book movie and they have to ask them to clarify whether it is Marvel or DC.

For what it is worth, I liked it. It was definitely better than Whedon’s shit and it was a better take on the characters. I don’t get the hate on DCEU from sites like i09 and the like. I liked MOS and BvS for what it was and a lot of that was from the idea of Superman not portraying this forever boy scout. Kal El was

honestly though, I dont think being a star in this franchise would have helped his career with either cut.

I hate the fact that Samaria Rice had to do this but it was the right thing to do. This is a conversation that needs to be had. I know there’s been conversation about how white progressives gentrified BLM and damaged the movement but we can’t forget about people like Mallory and King. They do so much harm.

This is tough. On one hand activism should always be encouraged, but on the other we’ve seen so many charitable/activist orgs go the wrong way. Money doesn’t get to the people they’re supposed to be helping, or the org cares more about its own PR, etc.

What exactly does he think government is supposed to do? Just keep the streets free of Black people and collect kickbacks?
