Shopping for a friend and out of suggestions. What would you reccomend test driving for a car with 4 doors, moderately comfortable, had good dynamics, and can seat a rear-facing baby seat behind a normal sized adult? Currently they have a GS-300 and love it, but it’s getting old. Initial response was a G70/80 or

Hear me out. Lexus SC430. Convertible (check), nimble (ehh), heated seats (check). Reliable, and with the top down, anything is more fun to drive.

Must be the extra German Engineering, yah?

I understand problems and issues happen, however don’t you hope QA at the factory would catch obvious problems? If they can’t catch glaring issues, makes you wonder what else might slip through.

We own a straight 6 (2JZ-GE) in a lexus and that was my thinking. Except you have to take the intake off to get to the plugs as well. Luckily the timing belt is right up front :)

I’d suggest checking with your insurance company. We have USAA and they noted we aren’t covered because Turo is not officially a car rental company. Same reason credit card coverage doesn’t apply. I like the idea of Turo but with the insurance, most of the time it’s the same price as a typical rental.

I agree, GV80 and an EV.
Does anyone know the difference between the Clarity plug-in vs. the Accord Hybrid? The Accord looks better (to me) and is about the same price?

I don’t know how many people you’ve helped by I’ve never heard of Silvercar, it looks awesome. Have a trip coming up that they could help with, only downfall is it’s in San Diego and they don’t have any locations nearby :/

So ADT is one of the companies that have sneaky “service” contracts that auto renew if you don’t cancel exactly according to the fine print (like sending in a note to a PO box on the 4th of Nebuary certified by your neighbor).

So what’s the actual towing limit weight for most big rigs? Is this truck’s powertrain special in some ways?

I think it’s for folks that one the higher-up seating position, but want their egg to stand out in the sea of white, black, and silver ones.

I kinda get where they’re coming from. Take two identically looking pens, one weighs double the other. After handling and using both, I’d bet most folks would think the heavier one is better made and writes smoother.
Of course cars are completely different and lighter is always better.

I live in the US and love it here. However I don’t believe we have the best healthcare compared to most countries’ metrics. For life expediency, US is ranted quite far compared to other 1st and 2nd world countries (46/100). It’s some of the most expensive care in the world with mediocre results comparatively.

I think Volvo is a good example of where this has worked. Don’t they only have one engine and depending on the model they turbo it, supercharge it, or both.

For car styling, I think we’re headed to a futuristic retro designs. Think along the lines of the IONOIQ 5. I for one hope they companies can stop with the over styling and get back to simple, clean, designs.

I think there’s a difference in Initial Quality and longer-term real user reported data that consumer reports gathers.

If you wish to be pedantic, electric cars and disk brakes were invented in the early 1900s. Almost no features are new anymore, so I’m not sure what your expectation is. Most vehicles (and technology as a whole) now are incremental improvements.

Wow it sounds like you’re thorough with the work. Not familiar with BMWs, however 200k miles doesn’t sounds like too terribly much on most 90's cars. Replacing all bearings out of prevention?

Would you say it has it’s hood up/wheels off more than it runs?
It seems like you always have a photo of it being tended too.

How are the seats, ride, and CVT compared to similar cars people would cross shop (like the Civic or Si)?
