I'm confused as to what you mean. Are you agreeing or disagreeing with what I said?

We won't know what the future will be like until it comes. We could innovate our way out of this mess or we could all be doomed.

More like de-evolution.

Thats really interesting. When I posted earlier I didn't know anything about the delegation of responsibilities on the bridge, just that using a modern military model she would outrank most of the crew by being an officer. An example of this is an Arleigh Burke class destroyer which has 300 enlisted and 23 officers.

In all fairness the show had a black female lieutenant. If Starfleet is anything like modern militaries she should have rank over most of the crew of the Enterprise.

Yes, but I would imagine that those ships still go a significant percentage of light speed.

I got bored and googled medical nanotechnology and found this:

Wow thats interesting I didn't think that was the type of technology we were actually thinking about at this juncture. I thought we were just like "wouldn't it be cool if we could fold space somehow?" As opposed to having rough ideas as to how such a device might be constructed.

This has the appearance of a scifi channel series to me. It doesn't look like a feature film.

I understand get remaking movies to overcome the technical or political limitations of their era but Robocop was just fine the way it was in 1987.

The homeworld designs were really elegant.

A lot of times in fiction vessels don't (or at least appear to) move that fast. Instead they use various cheats like space folding and hyperspace to move instantaneously between destinations. The star destroyer is an example of that. It uses hyperdrive to get into a region of space and uses the thrusters to maneuver

I need those so bad. I freaking hate the primitive-assed present.

fake!

26 same fear. I'd like it when I'm young enough to enjoy it as well.

Thanks. You too.

Thanks troll. I found your post inspirational. Every day is a little bit of a struggle and stuff like that helps.
