I read all the replies and i just want to say that in response to every one that says to need to be strong willed and force the kids to eat what you tell them to.

my son ate 1 1/2 is starting to realize this. He went starving at dinner a week, after realizing that his kicking and screaming and hitting the wall wasn't getting anywhere, he started to realize hey if its on my plate, that's all i get.

Same here, my kids must at least TRY something. Turns out they like a lot more then THEY thought they did. I don't force them to eat anything the don't like. But if its on their plate and i know they like it, they have to eat it.

while this theory sounds great it doesn't always work in practice. My son only ate vegetables when he was a baby. When we introduced fruits he didn't want them. We were ecstatic that he loved vegetables, as time when on he started to favor them less an less, now he wont eat them at all. He still doesn't eat fruits…
