That’s how I am about Wings.  When I was watching it in real time broadcast, it was as good as sitcoms get, and then you don’t find it in syndication and it lapses from your consciousness.  Once or twice a year I recall ‘gee I wish I could dial up a Wings marathon.’

This is just me spitballing, but I think Frasier had an unfortunately perfect formula to slide out of the collective image of ‘what sitcoms were like’ of the era. It has a little bit of the ‘family sitcoms’ before it, a little bit of the ‘people of different lives just bouncing off each other in the big city’ that 90s…

For busy pedestrian intersections I’m a big fan of traffic being stopped in every direction and people being able to walk anywhere in the intersection (diagonally, etc.).  Not sure if that’s what they have in Austin but I’ve seen it in several big cities.  It actually reduces the wait for both cars and pedestrians…

Afterlife was to me a heartless nostalgia bait cash in that mishandled the passing of a key individual in ghastly fashion. In some ways I kinda look down harder on Afterlife then the 2016, and I aggressively don’t like either.

I think your second paragraph is the real problem. I don’t care if he embellishes stories in his comedy, or even if he just straight up lies to help a bit. If the stories are presented as true-ish and implicate real people, I think there’s a different standard. It does seem a little weird that this is coming to a head…
