Most cops literally don’t care about you. How many times do we need evidence of this fact?

I love the TNG cast like family.
I’m just continually disappointed in the dialogue and the delivery of said dialogue. It’s so flat and dry and not terribly creative. Comparing to The Clone Wars it’s especially dusty. Where’s the goofy spark and vibrancy in any live action Star Wars? Hate on Boba Fett all you want, but at least the characters spoke…
Ironically, the original Ghostbusters was one huge meandering improv session.
And amazingly, even though Tesla is HQ’ed in Austin, it is illegal to sell Teslas in the state because we have a law that requires a dealership or brokerage license for all sales operations.
All 10 times?
As partisan as the issue is I can truly see conservative states going out of their way to inhibit sales and punish owners lest they incur the wrath of radical right voters.
The only place I consistently get woody breasts is Popeye’s. It’s so bad I’ve just stopped going entirely. The cafe across the street from the office has an amazing slaw-topped hot honey chicken sandwich (thigh, bot breast) anyway.
From everything I have ever read, heard, or physically witnessed, that entire cast is maybe the greatest collection of humans alive. They treat fans so respectfully, they’re funny as hell, they love each other like family, and I can honestly say that no matter what the title of the show, if they’re getting back…
Jann Wenner matters to old white dudes. He’s irrelevant to everyone else.
The Siege of Mandalore - the final arc of The Clone Wars. It’s really good! Probably the best animated Star Wars episodes of any series.
My entire problem with this show is that it all feels like a means to an end. It makes no sense to me that Rebels, also written by Filoni, had a MUCH tighter narrative and the characters had very clearly defined motivation and purpose for their actions. So far most of the relationships and internal conflict in Ahsoka h…
I paid $350 for an iced tea at Shake Shack a few days ago. They also got rid of cashiers. There was a line about 10 deep of GrubHub drivers picking up food so I gave up after many minutes of waiting and just threw away my cup. So all this has encouraged me to do is NOT order a drink at all and just get a free water…
The Daily podcast had a really good episode on the UAW strike a couple of days ago. Just FYI.
Damn do I miss Steve Jobs.
I have to wonder if they’re banking on people’s loathing of human interactions will dissuade customers from requesting refills, especially since the wait at the POS is so long because most restaurants no longer have dedicated staff at the registers. So now they only have to maintain a single fountain, that’s fully…
I was actually friends with a copy in a previous job. Good dude. Like, actually a good human, not just good for a cop. He made a HUGE meth bust that actually got national attention. I ran into him a few years later and he was working in logistics at he airport. Apparently he got run out of the PD because he angered…
“It’s just this one cop. Just this one. And he wa sunder a lot of stress. He didn’t mean up. We uphold the highest standards of professionalism here at SPD. We are investigating. Chill out.”
At least until it’s absolutely necessary.
We know how this works. For him to be declared innocent all he has to do is convince the jury he was scared. Doesn’t matter if he was trained to not be scared, or if the reality of the situation was different form how he perceived it. If a cop gets scared and kills someone, it’s justified. That’s how qualified…
