500 is ok, you just really have to wring it out on the on-ramps and plan your passes, but it makes for a nice momentum car.

Wait... you owned an E39 M5??? I can’t believe you sold it! There has to be a term for people like you.

Congrats, you took it from fun to creepy.

It’s pretty similar in length to a lot of Class B van conversions -- mine, based on an extended-length E-250, comes in at 19 feet. The lack of a hood on the Vixen means a bit more of that space is usable, though. In my experience 20 feet or so is right around the max length you can stuff into normal parking lot spaces

Look, if the cop told the kid to ‘Freeze’, and he was holding ‘anti-freeze’, how is that not blatant failure to comply? Easy grounds for opening fire.

Honestly, I’m not surprised at all. Not one bit. Just look at the states where Toyota’s US manufacturing facilities are:

Mississippi. Texas. West Virginia. Tennessee. Kentucky. Missouri. Alabama.

Capitalism wins again - a (likely) poor man living in his truck kills a (likely) poor man who has resorted to theft to support himself. One dead, the other in a for profit prison - Ka-ching! $$$$

“These new windows from Anderson are the real deal. If the Capitol had these installed we never would’ve gotten in. So can I put you down for 8 of these puppies?”

I will hopefully get back to my very important opinions on Italian supercars shortly, but you know what would be even cooler? If Kinja took you to the comment for which you received a notification. Or at least go back to highlighting it somehow. While I appreciate the work that goes into writing these articles the

Slideshows are my favourite car details

Thanks for Bradley on the Grom

When you see me rolling up in this, you know what’s about to happen. I’m about to open the door, and saunter out in my baggy track suit wearing house shoes. I’m here to watch the local co-eds play some volleyball while I eat a concession stand corn dog.

Lowering EGTs shouldn’t be a bit issue for turbo output so long as the turbo is designed for the compressor side air volume. Cooling the air will cause the volume to go down and increase the density and also reduce the velocity of the exhaust gasses through the turbine. So there probably is some loss in energy

Long lumber and kayaks...mostly kayaks. Ours are 12' and almost exclusively get thrown into our truck’s 6.5' bed, which is just barely large enough. That’s one of the main uses for our truck.

I only make minimum wage hauling around 12' long 2x12 to various muddy worksites across all of northern Canada and thus have to have a usable 12' bed with awesome 4x4 mileage while I do Uber in SoCal between wood runs.

LOL look at the biggest trunk measurements you can find (Probably the Avalon) and compare to Maverick bed dimensions.
I moved into my freshman dorm in a borrowed Sport Trac. Hauled the mini-Fridge and everything. The Maverick bed is plenty of cargo space and it’s not so much limited in cargo height.

Don’t forget to throw a coat or something over the 240,000-mile-long carbon nanotube line so that if it snaps it doesn’t fly off into somebody’s face.

Missed opportunity for the Ford Active Replaceable Tether System.

I recall falling in love with the RX-Evolv concept and, upon seeing the RX-8 at the Detroit Auto Show, I fell for that, as well. I ended up leasing one at the end of college (while working for the dealership) and did 2 years of driving schools in it and a bunch of autocross. It was an amazing car. It was incredibly
