An asian dude driving an American car to drag race in America against a bunch of American dudes driving Asian cars would have been quite the twist. But I think it would have taken away from the impact and the contrast that the Charger made when Dom got it out.

Yet another reason why the Ford keypads kick butt. I can leave the car running and lock it and not have to worry about psychos stealing my car, kids, or lecturing me for not wanting to take my kids out in crowded public spaces during a worldwide pandemic.

Production costs have, mostly due to regulations.

Sorry, you only get the E36 M3 because it’s dirt cheap. When you can get any number of stick E46 M3 convertibles for under $15k that actually come with the good engine and a chassis that doesn’t tear itself apart, you don’t waste $17k on an E36.

“Ricer.” Growing up in the immediate aftermath of The Fast and the Furious, it was all about the ricers.

Have you ever seen a BMW car hilariously spinning its tires in a dusting of snow?

This is the same guy that built the Viper-powered Rolls Royce for Lemons!

It really wouldn’t take that much time or money...the Ranger came stock with the Duratec starting in 2001, which is the engine the EcoBoost was based on. It’ll bolt up to the stock engine mounts and the stock 4cyl transmission.

In Iowa, yearly registrations costs are based on original MSRP and vehicle curb weight. So even though I got a great deal on a used 3 year old Lincoln, I’m still paying $500/yr for registration due to original price and weight.

I used Logitech’s H-pattern add-on with the G29 for all of five minutes before I packed it away, unimpressed by its hollow, toylike feel. Unless you absolutely need that shifter to enjoy driving an older car in your simulator of choice, I wouldn’t sweat the omission.

At various times when my other cars are in various states of disrepair, I’ve dailied the BMW.

Which one? The Sport is pretty homely but the real BOF Bronco looks the business.

Firestone’s website is rough, I get better info on Bridgestone/Firestone tires from TireRack.

Yes, that’s what I’m saying. His title says “cars,” but the text of the article shows that he means “some cars’ trunks.” So there should be an apostrophe there, I think.

Wait...is the Goldwing’s trunk larger than some cars, or is it larger than some cars’ trunks?

The Bronco will come out to wild positive acclaim, but there will definitely be some horrible snafu with initial production or delivery.

However, my statement still stands that bare metal will oxidize and should be painted over.

However, my observations on the effects of road salt is that the salt is quite hard and when it hits the metal bits of your car, the paint chips, exposing the metal to the O₂. So cleaning or washing the car after the paint has chipped away on the bare metal is probably not the smartest thing to do IMHO.
