Why not?

Seriously, I’d love to hear a cogent argument not based on false assumptions like ‘poor people are lazy’ or ‘they’ll just spend it on drugs and booze’.

*Income brackets* completely ignores wealth (assets) and does *NOT* factor in capital gains, i.e. sitting around and doing nothing while watching the money roll in. Trump, for example, would have *more* wealth if he simply invested in index funds and didn’t fail in real estate.

People that own these likely *also* own a more exotic car. This is their DD for when they don’t want to turn heads, yet still impress their rich buddies.

And, your average Joe will not know the difference between this and a 5-yr-old base 911. Their rich buddy they golf with will.

How much faster in a straight line and around a track would this be with smaller wheels?

Lots around here in Decatur (Atlanta), and Tesla opened a dealership (“delivery center”) about a mile down the street from me.

Tesla’s expansion business model is very well known and they are doing exactly what they need to be doing to build volume for both per-unit manufacturing cost reasons and branding reasons.

If we were to tomorrow start following the South Korean model of test-and-quarantine, rinse-and-repeat, we’re looking at resuming something resembling post-COVID-19 economy by Summer.

Fuck your “both sides” false equivalence bullshit. There is only 1 party whose worst-kept secret is “party before country”.

^^^ This. Between 401(k)‘s dropping and job security way down, buying a $70K toy will no longer be a top priority.

Classic BBC - Beautiful Brick (of a) Car.

Just like the government builds roads *and then drives the cars on them*. Oh....wait.

Outside of the start, pit stops, and cautions, how often do NASCAR drivers need to change gears?

A hint you might have designed a horrible plane : special training is required to combat the automatic, self-destruct feature.

The F?

Who the F said anything about a sub-$30K Model 3?

The US market took 380,000 units in 2018 and less than 350,000 units in 2019.

I live in Atlanta, commute solely by public transit, and completely agree with this statement. I am fortunate I live near public transit and my work is near it as well. Most are not as fortunate.

I live deep in Atlanta. Decent trees are $100. The $50 ones are a long-ass drive.

As ExBrit said, an even higher % of hydrogen energy comes from fossil fuels.

It’s called tariffs, i.e. the chicken tax. The F-150 and Silverado have a 25% pricing advantage over the Tundra. Ditto SUVs, since those are “trucks” and benefit from the chicken tax.

It’s almost as if Ford wants this to fail. Of all the Ford names to put on this thing, Mustang is about the worst. Everyone knows what the Mustang is and this is clearly not it. Aping the taillights and grille are equally as bad.
