“idealism”

Since then, income inequality has only increased.

While more than half of the developed world lives paycheck to paycheck, the rich can’t waste their money fast enough.

I just don’t see this thing selling well in the US, no matter how good it looks. It’s competing directly against its slightly larger sibling, the XC60. Most buyers will opt for more interior volume. And, lifted, cladded wagons just don’t sell well. They are almost unicorns here.

Agreed. The Outback is technically a wagon, but it’s cross-shopped as a CUV. And, it’s taller than many of its competitors.

I love this comment so much.

Am I a bad person for relying on convex mirrors and *not* looking over my shoulder when changing lanes ?

I can’t quite be quiet about this small typo:

I have a 2015 Leaf and live in Atlanta. Most winters, there are only a few weeks where it’s consistently less than freezing (0 degrees C).

Looks a *lot* like a hatchback to me, but that’s a dirty word on this side of the pond.

Re: “road noise is substantial”

It’s as simple as rotational inertia and force. High vehicle mass means higher inertia which means higher rotational inertia required to stop the vehicle. The more force you have, the *faster* that rotational inertia is slowed down to 0.

I’m calling it for what it is - sexism.

Yup. That’s way more torque on the ball joints than what they were designed for. The dampeners, too. Springs are probably fine.

Korea was the same. Foreigners who looked foreign are given not only leeway, but are given credit and thanks if they make even smallest efforts at courtesy or language.

More stars for this.

This sounds similar to gun control, which was wasn’t a thing until the Black Panthers started open carrying. Oh, and guess who was governor of CA at that time ? St. Ronny.

...and I truly wonder how many of Trump’s Twitter followers are bots.
