Correct. Georgia and Florida are not CARB states and the automakers are not required to sell EVs here (I’m in Georgia). When an EV is a CARB-only special, it means the manufacturer is making little to no profit on it and don’t want to bother with states they aren’t required to sell them in.

Correct. And, the problem is not delivery or transport, but service/maintenance. Kia dealers in other states won’t be able to service them. Granted, EV service is near-zero, so you’re fine until there’s a recall or warranty issue.

This analysis is bass-ackwards. Those numbers are *because* they only offer most of their EVs (e.g. Golf EV) in zero emissions (i.e. CARB) states because those states *require* zero emissions vehicles as a % of overall sales.

Boo. The Golf EV was/is the same. Unless you’re in a zero emissions state, you won’t be able to buy one locally or have it serviced locally.

Canvassing for Stacey Abrams over a period of a few months, I knocked on doors in a *LOT* of majority minority South Dekalb neighborhoods in Atlanta. I got told all the time by people I saw to “be careful out there”. However, I was never threatened, followed, or even looked at wrongly. I never felt my safety was at

I was a GOTV canvassing trainer for Abrams and all Democrats in Georgia. I am relatively young. I heard from almost all more seasoned (older) GA DEMs that 2018 was by far the most organized GA DEMs had ever been.

Ah, ye olde “all sides” card. Only, this time, not even close.

No, it’s pretty fucking close. Conservatives encourage violence as a means to intimidate. The fact that some liberals have had enough of that shit does not prove your point.

Funny you mention being civil. Conservatism - aka Trumpism - wears incivility as a badge of honor. Are there crazy, asshole liberals, of course ? At nearly the same rate as conservatives ? Not even close.

...or, you know, convex mirrors.

While the diesel engine is gone, but they still offer a lot of longroof trims, some of them with a manual.

Jetta/Golf longroof had a nice niche until it was killed by dieselgate.

Not true at all. The system connects all major cities and while many have ring roads around the core, those ring roads have mostly long since been consumed by metropolitan creep.

I’m surprised there’s still room in the “insufferable, self-centered celebrity hanger-onner” lane for this tool.

I think you mean his father, Bush 41.

FTFY

I don’t get that - at all. The wagons of the 80's were huge and boxy. The wagons of today are stretched hatchbacks.

...or a wagon ?

I agree. The Kia Soul and Stinger are a very versatile.

They don’t fit. SUVs have higher floors and often lower rooflines.
