I take it you’ve never owned a Leaf and put decent tires on it. Yeah, the dampeners are shit, but it can corner like a bitch and throttle response is instant.

‘used car for 10-15 grand’ vs. ‘new EV for 30k’
Indeed, used Leafs are dirt, dirt, dirt cheap. I can’t think of a more reliable, cheaper daily DD than a Leaf. Maintenance costs are close to nil and chances of breakdowns are also close to nil.
Same here.
The 328d wagon was an insult at worst and crude joke at best. It had the worst configuration BMW USA could have come up with. It was almost like they were wanting it to fail.
The problem with the 328d:
With those, I see torque for towing. They are also considered ‘family’ vehicles and ‘enthusiast’ is almost a non-factor. The diesel in an X5 makes more sense than in the 5-series as configured.

If the Democratic party *could* fuck up in 2018, they would, but fortunately 2018 is state-wide and smaller. DNC influence will be minimal in 2018.
I’m wondering who the target demographic for this vehicle is.
Range-extended vehicles unfortunately fall in an ‘awkward valley’ between ‘more complicated, more expensive, and less EV range than a pure EV’ and ‘more expensive and less power than a conventional hybrid’.
In/around Atlanta, GA, I see several Leaf, i3, and Model S cars every day. Heck, I’ve even seen an eGolf and it’s not sold or leased in any state even *close* to Georgia, but I have yet to spot a Bolt in the wild.
I understand where you’re coming from and everything you’ve said is true.
As a 43-yr-old married man, I agree with this. I’m a decent husband and father, but wouldn’t say I’m ‘exceptional’. My wife, on the other hand, is truly exceptional. She’s a doting mother, a patient wife, my best friend, and is generous and kind to all who cross her path.
Great choice. It’s the Swiss Army knife of cars.
Why AWD? Tires grip, brakes stop. If AWD for traction is *ever* a factor, you’re way past FUBAR’d. You’re either way under-tired or going way too fast for your brakes.
Minivan hate that strong ?
Sir McTurtle, I laugh with you in a general direction.
White non-progressive men.
I approve of all the fucking going on.
