“Steel Assault” looks absolutely like my jam. It’s a little bit disappointing that it is THAT short. But on the other side, it’s no different from many arcade—and even console-games of the past. If it’s short, hard and sweet, I’m totally in. Is there any replay-value?

Great suggestions. I would definitely add “Fire Emblem”, “Wario Land 4", “Metroid Zero Mission” and - although I haven’t played them (much), just because of their reputation - “Mega Man Zero” 1-4, “Final Fantasy 1 & 2 Advance”,”Mario Tennis", “Medal of Honor Infiltrator” and “Tactics Ogre”.

My god, what a great

The game was really great. Sadly, in my eyes it was impaired by two irritatingly bad shmup levels, that looked far inferior and controlled unnecessarily complicated.

Well said.

I guess at this point, the “Secret Files”-games will never not be ported to every system in the galaxy and sold for eternity. And I’m not even complaining. Although, I don’t play them as much as in the 90s, I love point’n click-adventures and plan to spare every one of them for when I’m old and my reaction time is too

If only the game wasn't so damn ugly.

Well, that’s a pretty elitist attitude of yours. A piece of art should always be able to stand on it’s own.

I agree that a reviewer should know the respective genre of the piece of media he or she is reviewing, by having consumed a good amount of examples of it. And maybe that person should also have (in the best

Do you mean the Gargamel from “The Smurfs”? Yeah, I can see that. Hihi.

Since the article is praising the maturity of the game and the great character design: The heroine in the thumbnail is probably dying from boob-explosion.

Which brings me once more to a question that plagues me for a long time now: What is it with grotesquely giant titties in videogames, especially in JRPGs? (It might

Really those “Splatoon 3"-trailers are wild. I absolutely love them and am ashamed that I haven’t gotten into the games yet, because they look like one of the coolest shit Nintendo has ever produced. Unique, immediately recognizable artstyle, unique, if strange music, unique Gameplay. I will buy “Splatoon 2" asap.

I

Who buys all these non-standard-editions anyway? All the digital extras always seem like completely unnecessary crap. And you often can buy physical merch like statues, vynils and so on separate in probably better quality. And paying for season/battle-passes often before you even know what they’ll contain, appears

I listen to the “Dune”-audiobook these days (it’s great, so far, btw) and out of pure hype and the wish for a videogame in that universe was watching a video of the “Dune”-adventure-game (which I have never seen gameplay of before and which is mostly forgotten by now, due to the way more popular and influential

Oh, come on, just stop it and release that “Earthworm Jim” game on every other already existing system.

We are never going to play or just see them all, but it always makes me happy when I hear about another unknown gem from the past. Thanks to mags like Retro Gamer and YouTube, I learned that the history of videogames is so much richer then most of us know.

No kidding! And don’t get me started about gifting an inventory full of animals and unidentified fossils to the museum. You always have to plan at least an extra 30 minutes into your game session for that project alone.

As a wise man once said: “They can fuck right off.”

Me neither. Still possible, it's an absolute blast. But it looks just so incredibly generic, cheap and boring, that I believe in relation ten years earlier and without the big name behind it, no one would have played it, even if it is good.

No, I wasn’t trolling, just exaggerating in a (debatably) funny manner.

It’s a question of integrity, dignity and honor to buy from GOG, whenever it is possible. Sadly, too many people still rely on Steam, just by habit and because it's too inconvenient for them to have more than one launcher, except for Epic, because they have "exclusives".

Thanks, for this important info, Zack. I know, what I have to do now.
