Well, life is not a videogame, you know and maybe big companies shouldn’t see their consumers (or employees) as enemies, like your comparison suggests. Why wouldn’t you blame them for taking advantage of someone’s character flaws? We all have some, even you and it’s not always so easy to change them, even if you want

Well, of the two games they made up until now, one was “TowerFall”, one of the greatest couch-multiplayer-games of all time AND the other was “Celeste”, one of the best platforming games of all time...

Better forget it again. The d-pad of the Pro-Controller is way too imprecise for “Hollow Knight”. I’d say the cross of the Switch Lite is the best way to play it on Switch.

I feel you, Riley. I want to love that game as much as everyone else, because overall it is really, REALLY well made in nearly every aspect and I love exploration, platforming and boss fights.

But on the other hand, after around ten hours with “Hollow Knight”, I’m pretty convinced many enemy encounters and mechanics

Thanks, for the advice. I will definitely try that.

I have played so little of the originals (and most of that probably on the GBA) back then, that you can rightfully call me a newcomer.

A good mix:

Started “Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 & 2", which feels more oldschool than expected. I’m also super bad at it. Don’t know if I can stay motivated. But for now it’s cool.

Also, I have all three “Metro”-games installed and will start the project to complete them. I’m mostly hyped for “Exodus”, but since it’s

Thanks for your replies. That's interesting and I will think about it. I'm always in for some retro-goodness. I guess, I'd choose the Switch for such an endeavour.

Thanks for the advice. No, I haven’t and I would like to. Unfortunately, while the pre-rendered backgrounds are actually still great IMHO, my eyes have a hard time with the blocky low-poly-characters (they are no problem in FFVIII and IX, though). Also, I’m really not fond of random encounters. I like turn-based

I’ve started “Ghost of Tsushima” and, well, this is not the game I’ll play this weekend. It is such a “by the numbers”-open-world-game, with outdated game-design-choices, the idea of putting further lifetime in this shallow beauty gives me anxiety. It looks absolutely epic in “Kurosawa-mode”, though.

I’m usually not in the “Please bring new games, instead of remakes/remasters!”-crowd. (Although, yes, you should do that and just make the old games available. But a good remake can be worthwhile, as we’ve seen several times.)

I believe that and certainly look forward to this game. But I’m just pretty disappointed by it’s visuals/presentation.

Because he seemed very unsure if they can even only show the game this year. To me, that means, that the actual release in 2021 is even more unlikely.

Never played “Legend of Mana”. This was the second best announcement of the show for me (“Triangle Tactics” was the best. Edit: ... Wait, it’s called “Project Triangle Strategy”... It should and probably will be called “Triangle Tactics”). It looks incredibly gorgeous. But the mix of pixel-style and high-res-graphics

Yeah, this absolutely baffles me, because it was all hype upon release.

Best announcement of the show for me and a great surprise. I’m already hyped.

Have faith! It’s “Zeldas” 35th anniversary. They will bring an all-”Zelda”-direct at one point in 2021 and I’m pretty optimistic "Wind Waker" and "Twilight Princess HD" will land on Switch before the BotW-successor releases. Buuuut maybe not in one package.

Also, he pretty much confirmed that the sequel to “Breath of the Wild” won’t come out this year.

I still think Shantae would be a perfect “Smash”-fighter. She’s oversexualized, too, but not to the absolutely ridiculous like these two. Bonus point for not looking like an incredibly generic Anime big-boobie-virgin-wet-dream.

I’m pleased they didn’t abandon their “Mario Sports”-series (though, I would have preferred “Strikers”), but visually this looks shockingly bland. Just flat, dry, uninspired, without the playfulness of pretty much every “Mario”-game. It appears almost low-budget.
