What an incredible artist! Blade Runner is probably my favorite film of all-time. It doesn’t matter, that it’s narration is somewhat flawed. It’s a feast to all senses, like nothing else, combining the talent and vision of two unique artistic masters, Syd Mead and Ridley Scott.

Didn’t know about his influence on Mass

I think Control is really a surprise to find here. Not because it isn’t any good. I was intrigued the first time I saw it, but haven’t played it, yet, because they say it runs pretty shitty on a standard PS4. But I feel there wasn’t a lot of fanfare or enthusiastic praise surrounding it’s release in comparison to how

Low rise jeans can look pretty hot on lean women. And you know what, it’s absolutely okay to find slim women attractive. That doesn’t mean every woman has to look like this. Different types and tastes and shit.

But I support the points with “Xenoblade Chronicles” and “Metal Gear Solid V”. That is some stupid,

Finally play through “The Witcher III” and be a part of mankind again.

Also, I just need to get into the “Yakuza”-series.

Don’t buy games, just because they’re on sale.

Accept the fact that I can’t play every game I want to or is considered a must-play. That’s the toughest one, I guess.

And it’s possible, as long as you stick to your 2-to-5-hours indies. Speaking of a single AAA-game (which are all open-world-behemoths these days, three times as long as a game from the 2000s) though...

I only played Fallen Order and wish I had played any of the other nine instead.

The Anno-series isn’t really a thing outside of Europe, even for a strategy buff like Luke Plunkett, isn’t it? I wonder, because it’s huge in Germany and Anno 1800 surely is one of the most important PC-games of the year, over here.

Have fun and enjoy this as intense as you can, before you get children (if you want so). Because while having children is the most beautiful (and most exhausting) thing you can ever experience as a human being, your former identity as an individuum and the life it had are pretty much dead from the day they're born.

Fallen Order is on hold, because it bores me to death. Someday I’ll may be in the mood, again.

After 230 hours I finally defeated Ganon in Breath of the Wild this week. I still have three of the 120 shrines left and a lot of DLC-stuff to do. But I think, I’ll spare this for when the hype for it’s sequel hits me hard

Other M is indeed a very good game. I get why some of the flaws the game clearly has bother some fans more than me. But it’s unfair to overlook all the qualities it has in the process, for instance great graphics, great atmosphere, great fights and still a lot of secrets to explore for, despite the more linear

No surprise there’s not a single Wii-game to find here. That system was practically the spawn point of underappreciated games. Nearly all good titles for it, besides the big Nintendo franchises, were (and are) underappreciated. They’re so underappreciated, they don’t even get mentioned in lists about underappreciated

Star Wars Jedi - Fallen Order

It’s a well made and overall decent game, but the more I play the more issues start to bother me. In my opinion the several design elements Fallen Order “borrows” from other games don’t really fit together. For example the Dark Souls template doesn’t work here, narratively and

Thanks, for your reply, Peter! I hope your books are successful, but you enjoy writing them anyway. Have a great time!

I’m a sucker for good soundtracks and this is an easy to answer question: The “Xenoblade Chronicles”-series. The scores of that games are second to none. “Xenoblade Chronicles” was already an unbelievable music masterpiece, you wouldn’t expect to be matched by a successor. But they did it. “Xenoblade Chronicles 2"

Now playing

Hey, Peter! I am always happy, when you’re the guest editor for Kotaku, because I really enjoy your articles.

At first I thought that this is a very tough question to answer. But there are a few special games that emerge.

One of them being “Donkey Kong Land 2". As someone who only was allowed to have a Game Boy back then and could only play SNES games sporadically, I am thankful that Rare took so much effort to create such

I’m probably in the minority here, but for me the PS Plus offerings where more interesting, when there were some indies in the mix, especially if it have been new releases. I had really fun times with Rocket League, Broforce or Grow Home. I almost never play the Triple-A games, probably because I already have the ones

Despite cool looking cosmetics (which “Fallen Order” doesn’t have) and new abilities or items, that enhance the gameplay (they are there, but the “Metroidvania”-formula is a little bit done and predictable, now), in my opinion the best rewards are those who give you more game, for example a new fighter in a fighting

I haven’t played it, yet. But from what I’ve read about it, there are a lot of people who find it pretty boring. My conclusion is, that it is something in the experimental vein of indie games, but with Kojima-prestige and triple-A-backing, that blew it up to a hype product and therefore potential multimillion seller.

A “force stamina” bar was the first alternative that came to my mind, too. But maybe that would have made the fights to easy. Can’t remember how a game like “Jedi Outcast” handels this.
