Right...this seemed like good news until the part where apparently you can’t get the V6 with the AWD. Takes it pretty quickly from a “hey, maybe I’d consider buying a Camry after-all” to a “nah, no thanks”

Agreed....the new Volvo s60 is gorgeous (and admittedly twice the money). I’d classify this new Hyundai as “unique in a good way” for now.

I wonder if the $454 billion would be better spent towards encouraging EV development and transition within the trucking industry. Everytime I go on a road-trip I’m always amazed at the sheer number of tractor-trailers going up and down the highways.
There has to be some kind of alternate universe out there where GM isn’t incompetent and the K-5 Blazer was effectively morphed into what the modern day 4-Runner is.
I agree 100%, the 2016-2018 is Camaro perfection, especially in SS form the car is gorgeous in person. What they did to the front end in 2019 should be considered criminal. I know that they’ve at least rectified it for 2020, but I feel like the “fix” has just made the front look like a more watered down version of…
Haha, actually coulda used a little more “we build excitement”......oh wait, nevermind
I mean....there is that Buick commercial with the young chick about to load her surf-board onto a Cascada in who yells back at her friend “your Buick doesn’t have a roof rack!” Only to find out the Cascada ISN’T HER FRIENDS’ BUICK (silly girls.....). In fact, as we soon find out, the TourX parked right next to the…
This is an excellent point. The setting almost feels like an after-thought compared to this main focus the show has on evil ancient Japanese spirits, which frankly just isn’t nearly as interesting or horrifying as an actual INTERNMENT CAMP on U.S. soil!!
Was talking about the Gladiator a few weeks ago with a guy I know who works for a Chrysler deal. Said that many Gladiator owners have been pretty frustrated because they’ve gone to order MOPAR accessories from the catalogue, only to find out that many of those accessories aren’t actually available to the dealer…
My proposal to Jalopnik: You guys buy me any one of those wagons listed above and reimburse for all maintenance/repairs, done of course by the local Mercedes-Benz dealer. In exchange, I write regular articles which meticulously highlight just how quickly my bargain Benz would have bankrupted me had I actually been…
The list of fun (for the time) front-wheel drive 5-speed cars GM would sell you back in the late 1980s/early 1990s is kind of astounding :
My 2012 s60 with the 3.0 liter turbo I6 has been rather reliable (75k miles, last 40k are mine). Other than chewing up front strut mounts and a random bad airbag module (replaced under CPO warranty) its been trouble free. From what I’ve read on the forums the 3.0 liter/6-speed trans combo is fairly bulletproof. I…
I thought as far as first episodes go this was just fine, but it does have some huge footsteps to follow in. The Terror S1 was an all-around incredible show: rich characters, superb acting, beautiful setting, and a unique story. S2 has potential, but even if it doesn’t live up to the lofty S1 standards, I don’t think…
Any chance I can get a two for one deal on the Lexus and Infiniti pictured above?? That green on the IS300 is gorgeous and I even like the chrome wheels on the Infiniti (don’t @ me). This of course would be contingent on two clean CarFax reports and thorough pre-purchase inspections!
I have no idea why the Blazer exists. The only way to separate it from the Equinox is the dumb skinny headlights and Blazer badge on the front doors. From the back it looks as though a Traverse and Equinox were melted together.
This x1000. The Dunkin Donuts around the corner from me has a drive-thru line that backs up into the street most mornings. It amazes me the amount of time people are willing to waste on the way to work just to get coffee. Is DD slipping shots of cocaine into their iced mochas or something?? Brew it at home and…
Can confirm, the driver’s seat in my 2012 s60 (same beige color) is getting close to that. This is despite my religious application of leather cleaner/conditioner. Oh well......at least the other 3 seats in my car look mint!
Man that thing is beautiful, though not surprising since the seller is apparently an auto-detailing shop. I live in northeast Ohio, and while I’d say its tempting to drive the 30 minutes south to snap that Volvo up, $5k is a lot of money for a 14 year old European SUV with 170k miles on it. Maybe if Auto Legends was…
I wouldn’t want to rely on this for a daily driver. But if you simply desire a clean/quirky SUV for things like camping/cycling/home improvement duties on the weekend........and you desire to make friends with a local Volvo indie-mechanic, then I think this is a safe nice-price!
