As a typical used car I’d say this is an easy crack-pipe......but I don’t think this car’s target audience will have any problem shelling out the $8,000 admission fee. Sure it needs some TLC, but it looks relatively clean. Somebody with that unique combination of a SAAB soft-spot and a knack for spinning the spanners

How much does the drive-e motor that Volvo uses in all of its new cars (including this v60) make you miss/or not miss the 3.0 liter straight six turbo that was found in the previous iteration of higher-end v60 wagons?

Been keeping a close eye on the new GS Regal for the past few months as the CPO warranty on my Volvo s60 T6 is set to expire and that really frightens me (even though its been super solid the past 3 years).

Gigantic crack pipe....and I dare say that it would still be a crack pipe (albeit a much smaller one) at half the asking price. I’m also left to assume that whatever he’s got under the car cover next to this crack pipe is indeed yet another crack pipe

I daily drive an automatic but have a 6-speed GTO that I put about 2,000 miles on per year during the non-winter months. I laugh at how easy it is for me to suddenly develop the habit of pushing in the clutch when going to start that daily driver, just after a day or so of driving around the goat.

Initially read this thinking somebody had to have shoe-horned that diesel under the hood of this Tahoe, but I’ll be damned, apparently that was offered as the factory mill. Minus any type of major mechanical issues hiding under the surface of this rig, I’d say this is a no-brainer nice price all day long.

Only way this eats a Ford Raptor is if the Raptor finds itself in the unfortunate position of being in front of the Ram TRX on the highway while the TRX driver has the cruise control engaged......

Thank you Jason for your service!

I also fall into that rare category of somebody who at one point in time lusted after a Grand Prix GTP with the unicorn 5-speed stick. This Lumina is really cool, but I can’t nice-price it at nearly $4k.

So the question for FWD sedan enthusiasts now becomes how exactly do you Frankenstein the drivetrain of a 2.0 liter 6-speed Honda Accord underneath the body of this much more beautiful Mazda 6??

Currently.....I despise cars with LED daytime running lights and regular halogen headlights. The contrast of the bright white running lights matched up with the yellowish halogen headlights looks really really chintzy.

I really liked the HUD I had in my 2004 Grand Prix GTP Comp G (phew), but after selling the car a few years ago for a non-HUD daily driver (Volvo)....I wouldn’t say I MISS it necessarily. It was a sweet digital green read-out with font straight off an old clock-radio that literally screamed “WE ARE DRIVING

Fantastic job with this series David, looked forward to it every week and definitely hope to hear a season 2 sometime soon. I’m sure I speak for a lot of people when I say that hearing the story of Walt reminds me a lot of my own dad, and how our relationship has always revolved heavily around cars. It sounds like

My daily driver is a 2012 s60 T6, so I can indeed confirm that the correct answer here is Volvo. In fact I test-drove an Infiniti G37 about 20 minutes before going to look at what would become my Volvo.....and it was no contest. The Volvo was flat-out the more comfortable and engaging car to drive in my opinion. That

Maryland eh?? Almost made it......

I guess it must be something about Volvo taking a 4 cylinder and slapping not only a supercharger on it but a turbo as well......leaves Consumer Reports a bit skeptical when it comes to long-term reliability, lol.

The non-turbo variants of the Eclipse/Talon/Laser have to go down as some of the slowest fast looking cars of all time.....I believe 0 to 60 was somewhere over 8 seconds for the regular 4 banger.

I definitely agree with you there, and at the risk of sounding like an acceleration snob, I generally find that anything that takes longer than around 7 seconds to hit 60mph is just too darn slow for me. I need at least a little bit of that “pin you back in your seat feeling” when I punch it.

I actually saw one of these out in the wild about 20 years ago in northern Ohio. I was on cart-patrol at my grocery store job, and of course I would always scope out the cars in the lot as I plucked the shopping carts out from in-between them. I had to do a triple-take when I glanced in the window of that Grand

I hear ya, but even all these years later that acceleration is still on-par with several more modern SUV offerings.......a base motor Ford Escape or Chevy Equinox for example both take more than 9 seconds to hit 60mph from a dead stop.
