So yeah, the best thing I can say about Cloak is good riddance, Mirror Universe (rest easy, you were not lied to). I'm consistently amazed that the writers continued to write MU episodes when the trendline for the concept's execution was made clear around S5.

As tiresome as the show's fawning over Vic gets, I do have to admit I like It's Only a Paper Moon (as well as the upcoming Badda Bing Badda Bang). But you're right: showing Vic's hollowness would have been a better way of getting to that endpoint where Vic tells Nog he'll end up as Hollow as he is rather than just

Next week is going to be hard. Flirty Cardassian Waitress, might I cash in some of my free rounds to get pre-emptively drunk with you before we have to suffer through Emperor's Cloak and Fire? You can tell me about that time a legit accidentally left a certain isolinear data rod amongst your tip latinum?

"A single malt, preferably something from the Highlands. "

Speaking of Nog:

I agree. Chrysalis is an awful, embarassing, plunging deathtrap of an episode that is only brought back to the very edge of redemption by the fact that Sarina walks away in the end and points out that love isn't something the people "deserve" no matter how much they feel they do.

Same here - I'm not even a baseball fan but I've always had a soft spot for baseball stories, and "Take Me Out" is such a great little story (and a fantastic subversion of the tired baseball underdog trope) that I can't help but love it every time.

LOL Also "Baby Boom" starring Diane Keaton? :p

NOT AVAILABLE IF YOU FORGOT TO WEAR YOUR SPOTS.

The writers actually had a really good premise: that Ezri was cast adrift by being forced to join which she was completely unprepared for. It wasn't what she wanted, and she had to deal with it. Imagine if you didn't want children in a culture that venerated mothers and motherhood, and you were always a bit of an odd

The thing about Ezri Dax is that there's nothing wrong with the character as a concept, or the casting, it's that the writers didn't have the time to introduce her properly. They knew they were in their last season and they wanted 100% Ezri Buy-In from the audience but they didn't have the time to make that happen

Ah, sorry, I meant the Orias system.

Well, like I said, they did it with the Denorias belt.

I do have one minor quibble — when Admiral Ross makes his "If you don't like it, tough titties" speech to Kira about Creetak arriving on the station… is DS9 now no longer a Bajoran-controlled Station under Federation administration?

That's true [spoilers—big ones this time—continue] — one thing that bothered me about BBBB is that the jack-in-the-box literally appeared like a new program blinking on, rather than organically. And I get that they didn't want to take time away from the main episode for this, but there could have been rumors and

Cretak/Kira is the absolute best. The actress who plays Cretak really did a hell of a job. I could watch Romulans be "polite" and "diplomatic" to races they consider lesser all day long. And the scene with the Jumja stick! \^.^/

Yep. It don't think it's explicitly mentioned until a later episode so that was technically a spoiler, but if a spoiler is meaningless, is it really a spoiler? :p

Yeah, I don't hate Ezri as much as other people do, because there is a lot of good stuff to mine there, but they just do a bad job at it.
