There is no reason it technically couldn’t since Chome (as well as every other browser on iOS) is built on Webkit. But it may be a Safari-only feature for the time being.

Just as an update, the Pi itself may not have caused it, but the adaptive QoS on the router reacting to the Pi. Since QoS is more important that hardware ad blocking, I’ll stick with uBlock Origin
Just to report in, this did affect my speeds, rather severely. With the DietPi plugged in and set as the primary DNS, my speeds dropped from 105mbps to ~13mbps. When I unplugged the device and changed my DNS back it jumped back up to 105mbps.
That is somehting that would considerably more power than a little ARM-based device. I’ve run pfsense in the past on desktops and got away from that because of the power consumption. That is even with an Atom as the processor.
I’m probably going to try this tonight. My one worry is that routing traffic through the Raspberry Pi will interfere with the throughput of my connection. Everything is gigabit in the home and the connection is over 100mbps, so it could saturate the little guy.
You can do this if you have a Raspberry Pi (or any other supported device) setup with Kodi as well.
Ah norovirus. I have yet to find a weight loss technique that can shed those wasted 10 pounds of food and water weight within the span of 2 days quite like it.
This would come in handy. I roll software and updates as PKGs for enterprise deployment with JAMF and this often relies on third parties to provide a working PKG. These often go unverified so we may not be completely sure of what is in it unless we manually tear it apart through Composer.
The timing of this post is funny to me. I just started doing a few things on this list and committed to them. Drinking is easy, I drink maybe twice a month at most. Smoking was kicked last year. Lately I’ve been getting up much earlier (and going to bed earlier) so I can do a 45 minute workout during the week before…
I’ll add to this that if you are a first time buyer Youtube is one of the best tools in your belt for common repairs. I bought my first home 7 years ago (and just sold it last weekend) that needed a ton of repairs because it was a foreclosure. It helped to have friends in the trades for larger stuff, but for minor to…
Is step one writitng an article about telling people how to act?
I’m glad to see I’m not alone. I was going a little crazy trying to diagnose the issue. I sent my bug report off via Feedback Assistant. Bless these open betas so I can see these problems before we have to roll it out to out enterprise users.
In OSX, the only bug I’ve noted thus far is the file system doesn’t report the correct free space. For example, if I show 80GB free and remove a 20GB file, the OS still reports 80GB. Sometimes less because a small amount of data was written and removed in the moments after deleting it.
For what it’s worth, in a previous version of OS X it seemed like half the time when my webcam was activated for video conferencing the green light didn’t turn on. I don’t want to draw a definitive conclusion with that, but it told me the light was software controlled.
Typically I’ll give it a quick rinse to get the vinegar smell out, but since it was diluted with water it isn’t that necessary. I let it air dry and any lingering odor goes away.
In the summer I’ll wear Vibrams out and about because they are versatile for dry/wet wear, but they tend to funk up pretty quickly. If you find your shoes are smelling, give them a soak in a bit of distilled vinegar and water. They won’t damage the shoes and it kills the smelly bacteria.
Per the comments in the article, you may not want to enable this. There is a bug in certain SSDs from a handful of vendors that can cause data loss if TRIM is enabled. The full list is here: https://github.com/torvalds/linux…
Not directly as a user (or third party process) as far as I am aware. Our management software, JAMF, uses sbin as a staging area for deployment and the 10.11 beta breaks it because of the lock down. I’m not sure how it’s accesses now because Apple doesn’t publish many white papers regarding OS changes.
Much like in OSX 10.11, some changes have been made to the underlying OS. In the case of 10.11, the /usr/sbin directory is locked down even to the root user. It’s likely iOS 9 plugged the holes this jailbreak uses.
You could imagine that, but it’s rarely the case. Some will strictly support only Gmail, others will support a handful of proprietary services, some only support imap, some support imap and pop. Then you have your “We support EAS 14, but not 12” and vice versa.
