I’ll admit, it’s getting harder to visit the GMG site, now that all the best writers are leaving nearly every week.

Batiste followed many other performers tonight in starting off at the piano (was there some sort of requirement?). ... Say what you will about the man’s music—it can be a little, um, corny at times—he knows how to put on a show.
The clips is the big one; sure they can get excessive, but more context needs to be given to these movies. Plenty of people haven’t seen all the nominees!
“The song is one of many great instrumental covers in this new season of Bridgerton”
She absolutely is. It’s so irrational that she almost definitely couldn’t have been cast as a mainstream romantic lead anywhere five or ten years ago either because of racism or colorism. Shonda’s series may not be 100% my thing all the time, but what she’s done for all kinds of representation is pretty incredible.
I enjoy the design and color so very much this season. And the actress who plays Kate is SO beautiful.
I hope Sterling K. Brown gets good roles after This is Us is over. He’s such a good actor.
I think it is interesting that Romancing the Stone when it came out seemed derivative of old adventure serials and movies, but now itself is inspiring ripoffs, since we have completely forgotten the movies that it was ripping off. I don’t know if this is depressing or not. I like Romancing the Stone though & would…
I basically came here to see if Legends was renewed or not, and I don’t even watch the show.
The single slice of cheese is actually fairly on point criticism.
It’s probably time to include in all movie reviews a reference to whether it is in theatres, whether it’s streaming (and where), or both.
This sounds a bit like Michel Gondry or Taika Waititi after pounding a 4-pack of Red Bulls (or the French/Kiwi equivalent). I am on board with it. I should probably check out Swiss Army Men at some point.
Goddamn. Sounds absolutely ludicrous, and I’m here for it. Like if Tim & Eric had directed The Matrix.
WHAT IF Kevin gets the lead in a dramedy called “fortysomething”- gets respect and success but is pigeonholed into being a “pretty boy” dramatic actor- marries his blond costar who ends up winning Emmy after Emmy- then Kevin decides to take his career behind the camera where he finally excels AND finds peace and can…
Daaaaaaad, you’re embarrassing us.
What’s funny is that 9 1/2 Weeks wasn’t so much as mentioned in previous articles about this movie. Given that it was pretty much pure softcore, seems like a glaring omission.
I’m kinda surprised because, outside of 9 1/2 Weeks (which is basically a fancy Zalman King movie), most of his films were thinner on the nudity than what else might be showing up on late night HBO/Showtime.
She’s a damn treasure.
Daaang.
GREAT SCOTT!
