Eric Close! He was in NOW AND AGAIN! That was a cool show.

Weekend at Meredith Baxter-Bernie’s was a beautiful sign off.
As you touch on, it was always impressive how Lopez, who was not only rich and successful, but had a very glamorous image, managed to convincingly play the underdog so often. Her rom com work isn’t my favourite, either among rom coms or Jennifer Lopez films, but she’s good at it nonetheless.
When Shelley Winters died heroically I (a small child watching with my parents one New Years Eve) I cried so hard my parents had to pause it so I could collect myself.
Why was this on TV all the time? I was four when it came out, but I remember it was my favorite movie, based on how often it was on TV, and this was pre-cable.
That reminds me, I gotta watch that show again. It’s been way too long.
Borgnine: “Look, kid, do you know how thick one inch of steel is?” Hackman: “That’s one inch less than two inches.” Yet another great hilarious head-scratcher line of dialogue in this movie.
It always reminds me of that girls performance of “Steve McQueen waiting for an elevator in The Towering Inferno” in her audition in the movie Fame.
I have to go with The Poseidon Adventure in spite of the far more powerhouse cast in The Towering Inferno. TPA was simply more clever, story wise IMHO, than TTI. Plus, after a while I felt TTI was a really sadistic film, gleefully reveling in finding clever ways of roasting the cast and/or showing them fall to their…
I was 7 when it came out. Didn’t see it in the theatre but remember it being on TV all the time. It has its moments but anytime Eric Shea gets camera time it’s ruinous to the movie.
I was about to suggest Love, Actually, but a consultation with IMDB, meant to confirm my suspicions, revealed only that Laura Linney, Bill Nighy, Liam Neeson, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Alan Rickman have only won the Oscars of my heart. As actual Oscar winners go, it’s only has Emma Thompson and Keira Knightley.
Hitch is an ok rom-com but it could be really good with a few changes:
While you played Lava, we played Poseiden Adventure jumping furniture in the living room
Airport ‘77?
The thing about Cyborg is there are way to many heavy hitters around him in the Justice League.
Yes, there is a special kind of evil in the lobbying done by these companies to block easy tax filing and make the tax code as complicated as it is. Grover Norquist, who fronts for these guys, has been crystal clear that he likes insanely complicated tax returns because it increases the number of people who hate the…
I miss the Tick
I still maintain neither show was all that "poorly watched." DS9 was still one of the top first-run syndicated shows, often the top syndie show, for its entire run, and B5 wasn't all that far behind it.
Ah, don't be that way. We fans of poorly-watched mid-'90s serial science fiction shows set on a space station need to stick together.
No war, except for the reminder that the original idea for DS9 may have been stolen from JMS' B5 documents. With that being said, both shows are pretty great and have fantastic episodes throughout.
