I missed this show so much. Glad to have it back, even just one season.

But will we see the Blue and the Gold? I want some Ted Kord, thank you very much.
My geek wanted to see this because the story is based on a novella by Liu Cixin (writer of The Three-Body Problem and its sequels). So, we were expected something more like The Arrival and ended up with something more like Armageddon. That said, it was big dumb fun, but we had to switch from the English dubbed version…
At some point, Harlem Nights was in the running for movies with high numbers of f-bombs, especially as a comedy. (133, according to IMDb)
Awww, man, the late 80s/early 90s were something, weren’t they? I mean, I was too poor to experience much that wasn’t on movie screens, but I did read about it. Did you also go to Annie Sprinkle and Vaginal Creme Davis shows?

Sad. I liked the trailer and hoped against hope that Lee Daniels would come through. Alas.
Topper must have entered the public domain rather early because there was a TV station that played it A LOT in the 70s and 80s, so I knew Cary Grant before James Mason or Marlon Brando.
And my axe! Geena Davis and Craig Bierko were just so much fun in that movie.

Soaps were a carryover from radio dramas (literally) back when there were no reality TV shows, no podcasts, no cable, only 3 major TV channels and people actually cared about what happened in the newspaper comic strips. It was daily escapism. There wasn’t even a way to save episodes, so people relied on word of mouth…
My hero.
My hero.
I am currently watching Love, Lights, Hanukkah! Having noped out on Mistletoe & Menorah and Holiday Date last year, I can’t compare them, but it appears that LLH flipped the script a bit - rather than one Jewish person among the goyim, you have someone raised Christian who finds out they have Jewish roots and connects…
You take that back! Bobby Cannavale, Brian Tyree Henry and Jean Smart are better than this.
Paul Bettany will do.
What A Blaffair to Rememblack said - more specifically, Spanish paprika is smoked and Hungarian paprika is not.
I can’t scroll the comments on these slideshows (*side-eyes the powers*), so maybe someone has said this - The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover. So amazingly visceral, I just cannot see subjecting myself to its violence again.
